Project Manager the Norwegian market
Your main task as a Project Manager will be to arrange translation assignments for our customers.
You will be involved throughout the entire translation project, from preparing the quotation right through to the invoicing stage and customer after care.
You will be in contact with the customers, consult with translators and be responsible for various different translation projects at any one time. You need to be able to deal with very short deadlines at times and be good at multi-tasking. You will communicate with our customers and translators by telephone and email, which will be done in your mother tongue (Norwegian).
You have an excellent command of your own language both in speech and in writing and a good command of English. You will certainly be one step ahead of the other applicants if you speak another language fluently too.
You are used to working with programs like Word, Outlook, Excel and possibly Trados or another CAT Tool.
The extremely divergent and sometimes very complex nature of the documents you will be working with does mean we have to insist on a Higher Vocational or University work and thought level, as well as extensive general knowledge. This is an absolute prerequisite, as you will be dealing with all manner of subjects, from ship building right through to biscuit making.
You won’t be translating or editing texts yourself, but as a Project Manager you will be taking on an intermediary and advisory role to both the customer and the translator.
